Toughbook from Panasonic. Too good to be true or is it really worth it?

Toughbook by Panasonic claim to be the ONLY manufacturer to offer a full line of rugged and semi-rugged notebook computers. It is also said to be the most expensive notebook available now.
Panasonic says: Our line of TOUGHBOOK™ notebooks are designed to "take it." TOUGHBOOK notebooks give you a choice of ruggedized features like:
A full or partial Magnesium case that's 20 times stronger than plastic.
A shock-mounted hard drive, as well as a keyboard that can resist the hazards of dirt, dust and spills.
TOUGHBOOK notebooks are designed to deal with the knocks, shocks and spills that can destroy ordinary notebooks and leave the mobile professional immobilized.
So whether your business takes you across the city or into the wilderness, Panasonic has a TOUGHBOOK for you.
For more information on the importance of a notebook PC with rugged features, check out our complete listing of TOUGHBOOK Features.
TOUGHBOOKs protect the three most important components of your notebook:
TFT displays are protected by full Magnesium alloy casings providing 20X the strength of plastic commonly used in non-rugged machines.
Hard drives are mounted in a polymer gel, and attached with flex connectors, protecting them from drop shocks and vibration. Main cabinet materials constructed of polycarbon/fiberglass, full or partial magnesium alloy, offers from 6 – 20X the strength of plastic commonly used in notebook computers.
Each TOUGHBOOK is backed by a three year parts and labour warranty.
Why are TOUGHBOOK notebooks important to your business? Because…
…U.S. corporations will spend $700 million this year to repair and replace damaged notebooks - and as much as $1 billion by the year 2000*
…medium and large companies have an average of 1,500 notebooks in service across all departments including field service workers*
…64% of notebook damage is caused by drops*
…38% of notebook damage is caused by spills*
…28% of notebook damage happens when they're crushed*
…LCDs and HDDs are the two components most often cited as suffering damage*
…the average cost to repair or replace a notebook is $1,200*
…damaged notebooks result in several intangible losses to corporations:*
Missed deadlines
Lost data
Employee frustration
A drop in productivity
…damage rates in some corporate departments reach as high as 18%*
…notebook loaner pools and service contracts may not be enough, or the most efficient way, to manage damaged notebooks since these focus on solving the problem after it happens*

Well all this talk by Panasonic of Toughbook being spill proof, dust proof, shock proof sounds to good to be true to me. Do express your opinion and give your reviews below.
