Apple, Dell and a host of other companies are encouraging new handets makers to enter the market. The reasons vary from costs to the surge in demand of smart phones amongst others. According to an article in Washington Post

Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) must be making the cellphone business look too easy. With the company on track to sell 10 million iPhones this year?after only launching the device in July?it seems a number of other companies are willing to give it a shot.
