GHCL Limited has signed an agreement to acquire over 100 % of the shares of UK’s largest home textiles retailer- Rosebys. The acquisition has been done at a cost of $40 Million.

The Equity cost of acquisition will be funded through the resources raised from various domestic & foreign institutions in the recent past. The acquisition process is likely to be completed by October 2006, after which GHCL would have a complete control over Rosebys’s operations. Read more

NEW DELHI – June 20, 2006 – EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, with 2005 revenues of $9.66 billion, today announced its third phase of investment in the Indian market. It has committed to double its existing investments in India by 2010 from US$250 million announced in February 2005, to over US$500 million. EMC also announced it will set up a Centre of Excellence in e-Governance (CoEE) to assist the Central and State Governments with their e-Governance information management and storage needs.
