International Inc. (OTC BB: BTEM) applauds the European Commission for
adopting a new set of technical rules. These rules will grant member states
the right to implement Directive 2004/23/EC, a set of standards regulating
the cell and tissue industry, including the processing and handling of
umbilical cord blood.
Cryobanks International Inc. recently licensed its proprietary cord blood
processing technology in Greece. In addition, Cryobanks is currently in the
process of licensing a number of other banks throughout Europe. “We couldn’t
be happier about the new standards. We believe that this will help define
the industry in the European community by making quality and uniformity the

International Inc. The Directive is set to officially go into effect on
April 7 of this year and will be followed by a proposal for a second
Directive, in the last half of 2006.

the Food and Drug Administration. Each licensed bank of Cryobanks
International Inc. is governed by the same regulations. “Our protocols

authorities to ensure all standards and regulations are implemented in a
